Hello everyone, and happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. It went by so fast for me! Saturday was a total lazy day. I woke up and did my Country Heat workout, then laid back down for another hour. Mark and I went to Perkins for breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, fruit = 1P 2R 2Y). Then came back and watched some Netflix (I finished Stranger Things… SOOOO GOOOD. I finished it in two days). Then I took a couple hour nap. We then headed to dinner (Noodles & Co.) (Wisconsin Mac ‘n Cheese w/ Parmasean crusted chicken size small = 3Y 2B 1R) then went and saw the movie Sausage Party! It was a little crude for me. For the most part it was pretty funny, but there were just a couple of times that made me feel weird. I probably won’t watch it again haha However, we did rent The Boss yesterday — SO FUNNY. Melissa McCarthy is hilarious in my opinion.
Sunday we went to the state fair! Totally undid quite a bit of the work I put in this week, but it’s okay. The state fair only comes once a year! Besides, I still feel good after a one day “cheat day” on this program. I’m only calling it a “cheat day” because I wanted to stay on track for the full 30 days of the program. Normally I’d just call it life! As long as you don’t eat like you would at the state fair everyday, and eat healthy the majority of the time, it’s okay!
Anyways, I wanted to share my thoughts and progress of how the first week of Country Heat went.
Back in December I had purchased the 21 Day Fix. It’s only 30 minute videos and you follow the portion control system. I thought, easy peasy! So I jumped right in. After a week I was so tired from trying to randomly plan food and not really knowing what to do that I quit. Granted I’ve joined Lifetime and have ran and other things afterwards, but I didn’t do the full 21 days! When I heard Country Heat was coming out this summer, I was so excited. It uses the same portion control container system, with dances to country songs! Right up my alley (minus the dancing, which I’ve learned that I REALLY can’t do. I’m so uncoordinated.). So far it’s been fun, but the food does take some planning. If you’re interested in doing one of these programs I highly recommend it. It’s fun and once you plan your meals, snacks, etc., it’s very easy to follow! Country Heat is a 30 day dance program with 30 minute videos (two days a week you double up with dance conditioning). I’ve started a Beachbody board with recipes that you can find here, and I’ve pinned some really great recipes so far!
It’s going really well so far. I’ve made some delicious foods and have really been enjoying the process while learning and having fun at the same time! I like making dinners, then having the leftovers for lunch the next day. It makes planning SO MUCH EASIER!
What did you all do this weekend? Have you ever done a beachbody program? Did you see results?
