Snowed in and Ready for Summer

The title of this post “Snowed In” is probably the most exciting thing to happen this past week. I left you off on Wednesday, and I can tell you that Wednesday and Thursday were both a blur. I got some work done and started packing! Only two weeks of December left! I also had a phone interview and was asked to come in for an interview this week on Tuesday.

Friday was one of my more eventful days. I woke up early and made sure to do my Upper Fix for the day, and then got ready! Mark and I first headed to the coffee shop before we attended a funeral. I got a chai latte and it was so delicious! It’s a treat that I get every now and then πŸ™‚ During that time I also received two other emails! One asking me to come in for an interview, and one asking to set up a phone interview. It’s raining interviews right now and I couldn’t be more excited! Hopefully one leads me to where I’m supposed to be.

Later that day I dropped Mark off so he could run his errands while I met up with Kelli and helped her Christmas shop! I’m so happy that I do my Christmas shopping early &/or online. The stores were CRAZY for a Friday! We did stop and have lunch at Red Robbin (yummm) and I had a blood orange Sangria. So good!

That night Mark and I made delicious treats (chocolate covered bananas & strawberries, & oreo balls).

On the way home, it started snowing and didn’t stop until Saturday morning! We got somewhere between 8″-10″. I really don’t like snow or cold weather (why do I live here???) but at least it was pretty and I finally got to wear my boots that I got last Christmas! Mark and I went grocery shopping Saturday morning and then stayed inside the rest of the day. It was a good day for movies (or binge-watching Chopped) and eating!

Speaking of eating, we made homemade pizza and it was SO GOOD. Don’t worry, I’ll be bringing you a recipe sometime this week. πŸ˜‰

TodayΒ I actually never even left my house! It was a high of -11 today and I spent the day doing some work, packed up almost my entire bathroom, did some organizing of random papers I have had in a pile for months, and now blogging. Every once in a while it’s okay to have a day where you don’t leave and just get stuff done! It’s made me ready to conquer this busy week.

I hope you all had a great weekend! What’s one fun thing you did this weekend? Does it feel like winter/Christmas yet??

  1. It might be snowing outside, but you are so right, it is RAINING interviews! Girl- e’eryone wants u! I can’t wait to see where you end up. That pizza looks incredible. Can’t waiiit for the recipe! And as you know, I live in Cali where our winter has just been chilly and rainy. BUT I came down to Texas a few days ago and it’s FREEZING here. I am being such a baby about it. Lol. Have a great week, dear ! xo

    1. I heard Texas got sooo cold! That’s so weird since it’s supposed to be HOT HOT HOT! It’s too bad you don’t get to experience warm weather this time of year. It’s okay to be a baby about cold weather, I sure am! Haha

  2. I hate the cold too πŸ™ Let’s move somewhere warm πŸ˜€ We had a bad freezing rain/snow/ice storm Saturday and everything was a sheet of ice for the weekend…mostly Saturday but also last night was bad when everything refroze. Good luck with your interview!

    1. Haha yes please sign me up! That stinks about the ice storm. I’ll take a snowstorm over ice storm any day. The icy roads scare me! And thank you. I’m hoping it all goes well! πŸ™‚
